Description

To understand the origin of breakthroughs, I present the method of innovation diagrams, which express innovation processes in a two-dimensional space spanned by“knowledge embodiment”and knowledge creation”. It is found that all innovations occur from a chain of “knowledge creation” and “knowledge embodiment”with the“field of resonance”as nodes of the chain. I then discover a new structure of innovation, “paradigm disruptive innovation” and two other types of breakthrough. Through this discussion, I emphasize the importance of “transilient” thinking, which can overcome various axes of evaluation and disciplines to foresee the future, as well as the capability to descend below the horizon of scientific paradigm.
