Abstract
<p>Biological light switch in an organism can regulate the cell function by means of the photon on/off mechanism. On the other hand, living cells with a bioluminescence system can produce a multicolored light as a sensor. We focus our study on bioluminescent dinoflagellates with systems for photosynthesis and bioluminescence that are controlled by a light switch. To create the ultimate photo conversion system, we construct a light switch system from the living cells described above and a light−regulating device from photo−producible cells.</p>
