- サブバンド間遷移光の短波長化と展望
Abstract
<p>The applications of intersubband transitions in semiconductor quantum wells have been limited to devices in mid‐infrared wavelengths. Recently, however, intersubband transitions have been achieved at optical telecommunication wavelengths in various semiconductor quantum wells. This is promising for developing their applications. In this article, recent studies on shortening the intersubband transition wavelength are reviewed, and our research results on nitride semiconductor quantum wells are presented. Moreover, prospects are given for the application to devices such as ultra‐fast all‐optical switches.</p>
