Description

A role of conventional engineering is to suppress noise and obtain precise control models. However, this approach cannot be applied to the increasingly complicated systems currently being developed. A new approach inspired by biological systems is necessary for realizing more adaptive and robust systems. “Yuragi” is one such system, and is introduced in this paper. We report a series of studies in which the applicability of Yuragi to engineering was analyzed, and we discuss the possibilities of Yuragi and research issues that must be focused on in future studies.
