Abstract
<p>This paper describes a numerical analysis for investigating effective window area ratio to improve thermal environment in summer season by installing heat rays retro-reflective films to exterior surfaces of buildings. From the results of the analysis, it was found that the effects of installing the retro-reflective windows on the thermal environment were larger than those of the wall greening even when the window area ratio was set to 25%.</p>
