Description
Women are attracting attention as potential entrepreneurs to revitalize the local economy. This paper reports the practice of human resource development course which includes needs analysis, course design, implementation and evaluation of seminars for women who are interested in starting new businesses. The seminars were held in Fukushima, a disaster site of the Great East Japan Earthquake. A framework of the human resource development course which consists of “Analysis of the Self”, “Understand the Region”, “Learning Business Administration”, and “Networking” has been created and two types of seminars have been designed and held. After reviewing the result, the following three issues are identified. They are requirement of a new support system for potential entrepreneurs, sustainable development of attractive curriculums, and inspired entrepreneurship training at early educational stage.
