Abstract

This project aimed to analyze the rebuilding process after the Great East Japan earthquake in Ryori, Ofunato, Iwanuma Prefecture, where move to a higher elevation was implemented after Showa-Sanriku Tsunami. Through the field survey and the analysis by using 3D CAD modeling of the landscape lost by Tsunami, it was revealed that the experiences of move to a higher elevation after Showa-Sanriku Tsunami had made the people to prepare physically or spiritually, and caused less confusion in the decision process to move higher elevation.
