Abstract

<p>Ocean-mixing plays an essential role in ocean currents, particularly meridional overturning. In conjunction with increased observations, there has been a focus on synthesis of ocean-mixing data. This paper discusses current ocean state estimation and possible synthesis of ocean-mixing observations.</p>
