Abstract
IN THIS PAPER, WE DISCUSS THE UTILITY OF LINEAR FACILITIES SUCH AS RAILWAYS OR SPEEDWAYS. WE MEASURE THE AMOUNT OF ORIGIN-DESTINATION PAIRS REDEYE THE EFFECT OF SHORTENING TRAVEL TIME, AND FIND THAT THE AMOUNT IS PROPORTIONAL TO THE FORTH POWER OF RAILWAY LENGTH. AS AN APPLICATION OF THIS RESULT, WE PROPOSE A NEW EVALUATE METHOD OF RAILWAY NETWORKS. FINALY, WE EVALUATE THE FIGURE OF RAILWAYS IN CENTRAL TOKYO DISTRICT BY THE METHOD.
