Abstract
A steam explosion eruption in Mt.Ontake that occurred in 2014 released volcanic ejecta and affected lake water in the summit area and surrounding river water. As there are few studies that continued to investigate the trend of water quality after the eruption as well as comparing the water quality before and after the eruption, the water quality of the summit area lakes and rivers before the eruption and immediately after the eruption in 1979 and the quality of the water after the eruption In comparison with water quality, we tried to keep track of how the water quality changed by the eruption, continue to measure water quality, and follow the change of water quality over time. As a result, we can grasp the influence of this eruption on the water environment in Ontakeyama area and the process of the subsequent water environment. I would like to continue the survey and continue to see how the water quality will continue to change.
