抄録

<p>In the automobile industry, the concept of “mass customization” has become very important in developed markets such as Japan. Nowadays, the customer expects not only quality but also customization. However, the “Lean production system” of manufacturing companies does not yet support the process of customization.</p><p>This study suggests a new “Kanban” method which covers the customization process in the Lean production system. According to previous research, Kanban is necessary for the Lean production system which includes “Levelization” of production and “Just In Time” production system and so on. Therefore, we suggest a new Kanban method for customized items in mixed-model assembly lines and checked the methodology by an experiment with a simple process model.</p>
