Abstract
<p>Aspiration pneumonia is one of big problems for the elderlies because it has high prevalence rate and is recurrent and refractory in super aged society. The recurrent is caused by hypofunction of swallowing function and cough peak flow that is seen after leaving hospital. So, breathing muscle training is effective to recurrence prevention and the quantitative measurement method is also important to check health status in diary life. In this study, we focused on the estimation of forced vital capacity as a daily monitoring at home. In this paper, we showed the estimation method using thoraco-abdominal volume by body shape approximation as elliptical frustums.</p>
