Abstract

<p>Medical social workers have many roles in discharge support. Among them, they are asked to grasp a patientʼs needs, bring out the patientʼs strengths, and support them. The purpose of this research is to think about the role of the medical social-worker in the discharge support for a patient with high dependence on his wife and link it to better support in the future. Particular attention was paid to the steps leading to behavior modification. Support for the wife in order for the husband to be discharged was also given. In this case, a psychosocial and behaviorist approach was adopted for the patient, and a narrative approach for the wife, and support was given as needed. As a result, the patient was able to be discharged and go home as they had hoped for.</p>
