<p>This paper studies the factors that contribute to effective teacher training by studying the dialogue of teachers analysing the creative activities of children and their interaction with teachers. The study was done in two parts. In part one, teachers with different years of experience were grouped together to focus on and video-tape a specific child’s learning process, observing how the child relate with peers and teachers to decide where to exhibit a piece of art within their school. The second part of the study was to conduct a conference to analyse the recordings of children’s behaviour and their learning process. The dialogue of the teachers analysing the children’s behaviour was then shared to show how they reflected and transformed their views, feelings, the way of thinking and their behaviour based upon their preconceptions of what “learning”, “children” and “teachers” should be.</p>
