Description

The purpose of this study was to investigate the methods by which various professions in community-based integrated care systems are able to collaborate, the factors promoting that collaboration, and the relationship between those factors. A survey of certified social workers and managing-directors working at 5,053 community general support centers nationwide was conducted. The contents of the survey focused upon the objectives and basic attributes of the general support centers, the implementation status of care management and inter-professional work, and the varying approaches to, and the current state of, collaboration between various professions. From the 1,567 collected data samples collected, the factors determining the nature of the collaboration were extracted by conducting a principal component analysis and the relationship between those factors was examined by conducting a multiple regression analysis. The data revealed that “promoting teamwork” has the most influence on promoting collaboration between various professions in community-based integrated care systems, and that “IPW (Inter-professional Work)” has the most influence on “promoting teamwork.”
