Abstract

<p>As a person who has been researching social work practice for many years, I</p><p>reported on the history and purpose of the research, the objects, the methods,</p><p>and so on. Although I recognize that critical research on the essence of social</p><p>work is indispensable, accumulating researches concerning social work practices</p><p>is also necessary because social work is one of ‘design science’. Moreover, as</p><p>one of the practical research issues to be addressed today I pointed out practical</p><p>measures research supporting practitioners, social workers and care managers</p><p>who tend to be exhausted due to excessive work burden and response to</p><p>‘complex cases’. As one of the examples, I introduced an innovative intervention</p><p>approach, a new case conference sheet for inter-agency collaboration and</p><p>a prevention program as well as a prevention system against client violence</p><p>which we have been working on.</p>
