Description

We report a case of severe head injury in an infant, that could have been saved by multicenter collaboration. A 4-month-old-boy fell from the stairs and was transported to the emergency center. He was transferred to the trauma center for intensive care. Intracranial hemorrhage with a midline shift was observed, and a craniotomy was performed. On the 26th day, he was transferred to a children's hospital for long-term management. It was suggested that with trauma center as the axis, a smooth collaboration between the emergency center and the children's hospital will be helpful for the pediatric emergency medical care system.
