Abstract

There are many wheelchair users who suffer from skin damage to their lower extremities due to edema, such as wrinkles and shoe rubs. The "rolling socks" finally proposed in this research solves these problems. It protects the foot and prevents shoe rubs, and squeezing the lower limbs improves the edema that is the cause of shoe rubs. Functionally, compression therapy that is effective for edema can be substituted for elastic bandages. In addition, polyester fiber cloth is sewn to the back of the wrapping band to reduce friction between the skin and the cloth to prevent shoe rubbing. The new style of rolling and wearing, and the wide coloring development, can be enjoyed as a fashion, and can be worn by young people.
