Description

This research will report on the Space Balloon Project at Nagoya Bunri University which was undertaken as part of Aichi Science Festival in 2013. The aim of the Space Balloon Project was to send a weather balloon up to the stratosphere and take a video of the Earth and atmosphere for scientific observation. This project-based learning will serve as fundamental education in information and science study for the students of Nagoya Bunri University. During Aichi Science Festival 2013, the weather balloon reached 23km above the ground and took a video of the stratosphere and atmosphere in Aichi area and the video and deata were subsequentry shared at a science symposium as part of outreach in research. Students of Nagoya Bunri University learned fundamental ideas of science and information thorough this project by means of PBL. It is hoped this rich experience will be great motivation for students who are studying Information and Media Studies at Nagoya Bunri University.
