"Special nursing care fee for attending aged people on deathbed" is newly established for care workers in special nursing home for the aged. Nursing care fee was revised on April 2006. As the medical system was reformed and various bills were enacted, lots of aged people were transferred to the home care from hospitals because of decreased medical assistance fee for the aged. It causes a big problem for the people on their final stage. From now on, it is easy to expect that the number of care workers in nursing care facilities or homes would increase and they would have an opportunity to be engaged in caring the aged people. The care workers are going to do these in cooperation with medical institutions. They also need to support the aged people who are on their deathbed and their families spiritually. Therefore, I survey the nursing care for aged people on their final stage. Finally I observe that it is important for care works to understand a sense of values regarding life and death.
