Abstract

Ground water pollution has been found widly in the Tomida district, found in previous studies. In order to identify the source of this pollution, we investigated the ground water in this area. High concentrations of phosphorus were found in 15 wells, and low concentrations of arsenic （lower than Japanese environmental quality standard） were also detected in 10 wells.
