Abstract
The Tsukuba Mountains is mainly composed of granitic and gabbroic rocks intruded into the Yamizo Group. About the age of these plutonic rocks, the granitic and the gabbroic rocks are assumed to be 63 to 58 Ma and 75 Ma. Granitic rocks are divided into Inada, Kabasan and Tsukuba granites. We tried to revalidate the formation age of these plutonic rocks.<br>In this study, we select the zircon particles from 12 samples, and the U-Pb ages were measured. As a result, the magma activity of 81 ~ 78 Ma and 66 ~ 61 Ma was observed and it is considered necessary to reexamine the history of magma activity.
