Abstract

<p>A perfobond strip has been widely used as the shear connector in various steel-concrete hybrid structures. For the design of the perfobond strip, it is very important to evaluate properly its shear resistance. In this research, the estimated values by several shear resistance evaluation formulas of perfobond strip proposed in the previous studies, were compared with the experimental results of 255 push-out specimens from previous studies. In addition, the probability that the estimated value by the shear resistance evaluation formulas considering the safety factor is larger than the experimental value was also calculated. From these results, the applicability of shear resistance evaluation formulas and its appropriate safety factor were discussed.</p>
