Abstract

<p>The purpose of this research is to analyze characteristics of scale expansion of large-scale paddy agriculture in recent years by households. The conclusion is as follows. First, in order for the farmers to exceed the cultivation area of 15 ha, the successor also needs to engage in agriculture. Second, farm households with successors as full-time workers engaged in their own farming expand the cultivation area of 30ha or more. However, some successors of farm households become full-time workers of farming in the expansion process of the cultivation area of 30ha or more.</p>
