<p>　The opportunity to visualize and study the microvascular circulation in patients in real-world clinical practice generates much interest among clinicians. Since its introduction in the 1990s,optical coherence tomography angiography（OCT-A）has evolved significantly and continues to fascinate the medical community. Although the role of OCT-A in clinical practice is being determined, there are a few challenges that need to be overcome. In this article, we describe the principle of OCT-A and useful tips for accurate interpretation of OCT-A images.</p>
