<p>Reinforcement of practical disaster response ability for local government personnel of disaster prevention divisions has been a significant issue. As the solution for it, role-playing simulation exercises of disaster management have been attracted. However several demerits of the method are reported. We have developed a disaster simulation exercise system for improving existing methods. This paper introduces features and functions of the system. Furthermore, the effectiveness of the system on training of disaster simulation exercises is examined for local government personnel of disaster prevention divisions.</p>
