Abstract

We propose an interactive visualization simulator for urban transport project evaluation to share values and an overall picture the railway system offers between stakeholders. This simulator consists of multi modal simulator, railway facility specification generator, and management simulator. Furthermore, by having interactive visualization functions, they evaluate various indicators such as traffic congestion, arrangements of railway network, the effect of reducing congestion by railway, cost and cash flow on a single screen. As a result of evaluating effectiveness of this simulator under several use cases in a large city in an emerging country, we confirm that this simulator provides sufficient function to evaluate railway conditions.
