Abstract

<p>Since Web is invented by Tim Berners-Lee by 1990, Web has influenced the society not just as a tool for information sharing and publishing, but a tool to change our society itself. The core concept of Web is entities and its relationships. We overviewed the history of Web as a realization of the core concept. The first generation is to establish the coherent world of entities such as DOI and Wikipedia. Then the second one is to establish the inter-linkable world of entities by Linked Open Data technologies such as DBpeida and Wikidata.</p>
