<p>Fatigue crack propagation test was performed on a compact tension (CT) specimen of pure iron polycrystal. Misorientation angles from a reference matrix were estimated along a line perpendicular to fracture surface with a help of the EBSD technique. The misorientation angles increased with decreasing distance from fracture surface: fatigue crack propagation should induce lattice rotation locally near a crack tip. The lattice rotation was small near the flat fracture surface where a fatigue crack was grown along a single slip band. In contrast, large lattice rotation was detected near the fracture surface having a zigzag shape.</p>
