Abstract

In this paper, we examine the mediating effect of Perceived Organizational Support (POS) on the relationship between a climate for inclusion and employee creativity. We collect data (N=471) using an online survey of full-time employees working in large Japanese companies. Firstly, we hypothesize that a climate for inclusion is conducive to improving employee creativity. Secondly, we hypothesize that POS may mediate the main positive impact. The results of our analyses demonstrate that POS mediates the relationship between a climate for inclusion and employee creativity. These results have meaningful implications for better understanding of the mechanisms through which a climate for inclusion affects employee creativity.
