Description

The cement industry aims to the realization of the low carbon society. So saving energy and use of the blended cement are promoted because a lot of CO2 emit when clinkers are burned. The blast furnace slag cement is the material replaced a part of the cement with blast furnace slag powder and has less CO2 emission than ordinary Portland cement, so it is promoted to use instead of ordinary Portland cement. However, one of problems that blast furnace slag cement has is lower early age strength than that of ordinary Portland cement. Therefore, the trial blended cement mixed high-early-strength Portland cement and blast furnace slag cement type B was suggested for the purpose of improvement of early age strength. This paper introduced the durability of concrete that was used the trial blended cement. The mix proportion of concrete used trial blended cement was the condition had about same level compressive strength of concrete used ordinary Portland cement. Concretes that ware used trial blended cement were compared with that of ordinary Portland cement. As a result, although the carbonation depth of concrete was a slightly big, the mixing ratio of blast furnace slag was suggested 30 to 50% because concretes that were used trial blended cement had about same level durability as that of ordinary Portland cement under mixing ratio 50% of blast furnace slag.
