Abstract
<p>In this study, in order to cumulate the knowledge on impact resistant behavior of the RC beams, single and/or constant consecutive low-velocity drop-weight impact loading tests of the cushion rubber set RC beams were conducted. The consecutive loading test was continued for the beam to reach ultimate state. The results obtained from this study were: (1) cushion rubber can make an intensity of the impact force significantly decrease irrespective of the loading methods and however, (2) maximum and residual mid-span deflection of the beam cannot be decreased because impulse of the impact force does not decrease due to setting the cushion rubber on the impacted area.</p>
