Abstract
The purpose of this study is to propose a method for evaluating the value of local resource experiences by residents. Thirteen residents of Nagaokakyo City, Kyoto Prefecture, were asked to analyze the value of their experience of the scenery along a walking trail, focusing on three evaluation items: the place where the experience took place, the value perception of the place gained through the experience, and the factors that are the subject of the value perception. As a result, it was clarified that the experience value of local resources can be evaluated by using the four indices of locality, comfort, changeability, and imaginativeness, and that this can lead to proposals for space development that takes advantage of the characteristics of the place when developing local resources in the future.
