Abstract

<p>In Japan, river dikes and road and railway embankments sometimes collapsed due to seepage cause by heavy rainfall. Thought the seepage flow and stability of embankments are often examined, the seepage flow in ground with large permeability has not been studied. In this paper, the seepage-deformation coupled analysis was carried out focused on the damage of the river dike in 2016, where soil boils were observed, in order to clarify the influence of the seepage in ground to the stability of embankment.</p>
