Abstract
<p>The present paper deals with the analytical study on cyclic behavior of the reinforced concrete (RC) columns subjected to large flexural deformation upto the post-peak range. The numerical results have been compared with the experimental data to evaluate the validity of analytical model to represent buckling of rebar and cyclic deterioration of concrete compressive strength. It turns out that the analytical model adopted in the present paper could be effective to represent experimental behavior at certain level of accuracy.</p>
