Description

Development of the educational materials was carried out from the viewpoint of venereal disease prevention in accordance with the New Educational Guidelines for compulsory school education. Thirteen educational guidelines were developed for elementary school students and seven for junior high-school students. All materials were developed from the perspective of school teachers, based on the New Educational Guidelines. Among the materials, “Let’s Defend Our Own Body” for the sixth-grade students and “Diseases Transmitted by Sexual Activities” for junior high-school students were directly related to venereal disease prevention. All materials were accompanied by teaching guidance, with “Point of View for Venereal Disease Prevention” as the teaching goal. Development of these educational materials was conducted with the help of Grants for Health Science (Mikamo Team).
