Description

The theory of crystal growth is the study of how the speed of crystal growth (growth rate) is determined at a given driving force of crystallization (supersaturation, etc.). Recently, crystal growth experiments on the International Space Station have shown that the growth rate in microgravity is different from that on the ground under the same driving force. In this talk, I will introduce the difference of crystal growth in space and on the ground, and its theoretical interpretation.
