<p>In recent years, emulsions have been widely used in many fields such as chemistry, food, and medicine. Especially, emulsion concentration technology has become an important factor to reduce the amount of chemicals used and to increase their effectiveness. In this study, a monodisperse emulsion generation system has been realized by using ultrasonic vibration to manipulate droplets. The device used in the experiment can manipulate emulsion droplets by applying a pressure distribution of acoustic standing waves in the microchannel. After evaluating the performance of the device using polystyrene particles, experiments have been conducted to classify the droplets in the emulsion. The results shows that the acoustic standing waves generated in the microchannel and the narrowing of the channel enabled highly efficient emulsion classification.</p>
