The author investigated the time-effect in the Voltage-Current characteristics of aircooled and oil-cooled selenium-rectifiers. In some range, the rectification becomes better the rectifier is loaded and the oil-temperature rises. The voltage and the current, where the rectifier was broken in a short time (a few minutes), were measured. The current decrease when the voltage increases. This seems to be a proof of the theory that the break-down of a rectifier is due to the melting of the crystallized selenium.

se整流器の動特性をブラウン管オシログラフで見る方法により，Se整流器動作時の特性を明にした。この実験結果から整流器動作時中特に，温度の影響に着目して行った実験結果に就て報告し，Se整流器の性能保持の限界とその最大許容電流・電圧を得る方法に関する所見を述べる。向本問題については短時間の結果で実用化の問題まで考えるならば，長時間に及ぶ寿命試験を行なわねばならない。この問題については更に試験中である。
