There are remarkable developments for the utilization of polyphosphates (condensed phosphates) in many chemical and food processing plant recently. As the hot solution of these polyphosphates has been used often in food processing, this thematic studies are now prefered with the considerable interest. The outline of results is summarized briefly in the following. (I) The order for the corroded metals is found: Aluminum > Alumite by electrolytic oxidation > Alumite by M. B. V. method > Copper (II) The order for the degree of corrosion with various phosphates in aqueous solution is shown for each single salts as foIlowing: Pyrophosphate > Tripolyphosphate > Hexametaphosphate. The tripolyphosphate content in the mixture containing the phosphate of higher molecule appears to increase the degree of the corrosion. (III) As the pH value is increased in 1% aqueous solutions, the degree of the corrosion may be enhanced. On the other hand, considering the protective film formation with phosphate glasscs for inhibition of the corrosion, the effect of hexametaphosphate may be understood.

最近重合燐酸塩類が各種の化学工場や食品工場に於て著しく使用されるようになり,従ってこれ等が熱時使用される事も多くなって来ておるので,特に食品工業に於ての影響を考慮して首題の研究を行ったものである。
