Results are reported of an experimental study on the infrared absorption spectra of lignin, HCl lignin, H_2SO_4 lignin, thiolignin and sulphite lignin. As the results of comparing the infrared spectra of acid lignin with that of thio lignin, much difference was not observed between them.

リグニン・セルローズの人造石炭化に関する研究を行うに当り相当量の比較的純度の良いリグニンが必要となり次の実験を行った。硫酸リグニン，塩酸リグニン，リグニンスルフォン酸，チオリグニンを製造し，その赤外繰吸収スペクトルをヌジオール法で測定した。この測定はKBr法によるのが最も適当であるが，附随する設備装置が不備のため出来なかったが，他日KBr法により，より定量的に検討を行う考えである。
