Inoculating of cast iron improves the mechanical properties of the cast iron. Heattreatment also can improve the mechanical properties of it. In the former report, the authors investigated the effects of the inoculation, and obtained the cast iron which has considerable strength. The authors still more tried the heattreatment on the inoculated cast iron, and recognized that the treatment improved the strngth of the cast iron moreover, without disappearing the inoculated effects of it.

鋳鉄に接種を行えば性能が向上することは知られており一般にも実施されているが著者等はこれについて色々実験を行い，各種接種剤の中でもCa-Siが最も安価で効果が著しいことを確めた。尚このCa-Siを基本にして復合接種を試みFe-V，Fe-Zr，Fe-Ti，Al-Ti，Cu-Zn，Fe-Mo等を種々取り扱った結果Fe-Moが最も顕著な効果を有する事を認めるに至った。今回はCa-SiとFe-Moの復合接種の上に更に熱処理を施した場合の影響について検討を加えた。
