Description
Before returning to China, Zhou Enlai visited Arashiyama Mountain, Kyoto in 1919, and wrote a poem known as Raining Arashiyama. Why did he visit Aarashiyama on a rainy day? It is probably because he wanted to learn more about Suminokura Ryōi, the Japanese Yu the Great. This trip had a significant impact on China's policy toward Japan afterwards.
