抄録

The aim of this paper is to research the meanings and the points of view in self-support for life and of life needs experience by the children, by comparing the education and the welfare for person with a disability. In this article, the main matter of concern is that the points of view which person with a disability gets the life-skill, a basic habit for life, and the sociability. The examples for an object of a study are an elementary course and an advanced course of a school for physically handicapped or mentally retarded children and the welfare facilities 'Rainbow House'. The results are as follows. First, children should be taught on the recognition that they cannot do what they have not done. Second, children should be given roles and set goals as their special qualities. Third, children need experiences and knowledge through their five senses. Fourth, children form the life recognition of the self by acquiring a basic life style and life skill. Fifth, children develop the others understanding and participation in the region by communications with the person. Finally, it is necessary to plan the systematic study based on their life experiences to children.
