説明

I examined the relationship between the Shanghai line and modern Japanese literature. A regular service between Shanghai and Nagasaki was established in 1923. The ferryboats "Shanghai-maru" and "Nagasaki-maru" came and went between Nagasaki and Shanghai. Many Japanese have been to Shanghai since then. Hayashi Kyoko from Nagasaki wrote in <Shanghai> that Shanghai wasn't so far. Many writers wrote poetry, novels and travel notes about Shanghai. Kaneko Mitsuharu and Yokomitsu Riichi went to Shanghai by "Shanghai-maru" or "Nagasaki-maru" after the regular Shanghai line opened. They wrote poetry and novels about their experiences in Shanghai. When China was at war with Japan, Saijo Yaso went to Shanghai. He composed poetry, and wrote popular songs such as "Shanghai line". I investigated their trips and considered how they affected their work. Especially, the ferry trip arouses poetic sentiments.
