抄録

Colors of interior finishing materials are important factors to affect occupant comfort. There are few color studies about housings because of difficulty of privacy. This study aims to obtain fundamental knowledge and information of the conditions of interior color of modem detached houses in Japan. In a changing situation of housing and circumstances, model houses in housing exhibitions reflect current situations of housing. And Akita and Fukuoka prefecture are selected because of comparative studies, the 8 houses in Akita and the 19 houses in Fukuoka are chosen, color measurements are done to 7 habitable rooms : living room, kitchen, Japanese-style room, washroom, bathroom, main bedroom and entrance hall with a spectrophotometer. The color data of floor, wall and ceiling of each room is measured and analyzed with the Lab color space. The result shows a similar trend on the whole, there are few features by each room and part.
