Description

The Student Christian Movement (SCM) occurred during the end of the 1920's, continuing to the start of the start of the 1930's.While the SCM was being encouraged by the Student Resistance Movement, Christian Students who felt the rising crisis in the Japanese social climate which of leaning towards Facism criticized a passive, traditional Christianity.This thesis tries to explain the relevance of the SCM history and to clear the relationship betweenthe Movement and Shigeru Nakajima, who was a leading supporter of their ideology.
