Abstract

The Mizokuchi house governed Niigata Shibata and the Kaetsu district. In all the past local lords, Shigekatsu Mizoguchi(1633-1708) and Naoaki Mioguchi(1799-1858) had a taste for the tea ceremony of Sekishuu-ryu. Therefore, many tea-things were collected in Mizoguchi's house. However, the whole aspect of Mizoguchi's collectibles was unknown until now. The writer discovered Mizoguchi's collection ledger possessed by the Shibata-shiritsu-library. In this paper, Shibata-odouguchou was observed among the collection ledgers which the writer discovered. Shibata-odouguchou showed clearly that it is a ledger of tea-things during the collection which Mizoguchi possessed. The tool indicated to Shibata-odouguchou was investigated. The work which can be checked on an existing thing or literature is introduced, and this paper discusses the periphery.
