Abstract

As Roland Barths pointed out in his "La mort de l'auteur", Mallarmé reports that the pure work implies the disappearance of the poet. The disappearance of the author that can be seen not only in Mallarmé but also in Baudelaire arised from their adoptions of Poe's theory of poetry. This production method that became popular in Europe was adopted in Symbolism, Ready-made, Surrealism, action painting and so on. But it may be the important factor of "the end of art".
