Abstract

In this paper, firstly, we argue about the complementarity and the competitivity of the ASEAN economies and their trades analyzing palm oil exports from Indonesia and Malaysia as its two giant producers to ASEAN member states. The focusing point in the first section is that there are several countries having complementary trade relationships with two big palm oil exporters above or its potential. In the following section, we are making clear the strong complementarity between the palm oil exporting countries and its big market analyzing the those exports from the former to the latter.
